What I Do

Welcome to quilts by design, a novel marriage between traditional craftsmanship and modern style. Each piece is one of a kind, handmade of 100% cotton, machine pieced and appliquéd and machine quilted. My quilts are ideal for the crib, as throws or as wall hangings. The care and craftsmanship with which everything is created ensure that they will bring warmth and comfort to any setting  -  for years to come.



Quilts by Design stands between the traditional patchwork quilt and the "art" quilt - primarily used as a decorative wall hanging. What I make I want to be beautiful and useful. I use bright colors, big graphics  and traditional quilting construction to achive that end. My quilts (and other creations) are made to be used and when they get dirty, the washer and dryer will get them as good as new.
